I'm ready for my new family!

I’m about 7–8 years old, and if you ask me, I’ve earned the right to spend my days on a comfy couch instead of wondering where I belong.

Not too long ago, I was abandoned in Oklahoma.

I don’t know why. I wish I did.

But the wonderful people at Daisy’s Dane Sanctuary said, "We'll take her," and just like that, my story started getting a whole lot brighter. Now I'm safe in a foster home while I wait for the family I've been dreaming about.

Can I tell you a little about myself?

I'm a pretty simple girl.

My favorite place in the whole world is wherever my people are. If you're making dinner, I'll supervise from nearby. If you're watching TV, I'll happily keep you company. If you're working around the house, I'll quietly follow along. I don't need to be the center of attention—I just like being part of whatever you're doing.

I'm happiest when we're together.

I love people. Adults, visitors, and calm kiddos all make me smile. I'm also dog friendly! If another dog gets a little too rowdy, I might give them a tiny grumble to remind them that ladies appreciate good manners, but that's about the extent of my complaints.

My foster mom says I'm a very good girl, and honestly... I try really hard to live up to that.

I'm already house trained, crate trained, and I know "sit," "down," and "shake." I walk nicely on a leash, take treats as gently as I can, and I'm even learning "stay."

I do have a few little Pearl quirks...

• If I'm cold, I'd really appreciate it if you'd tuck a blanket over me.

• If dinner is running a little behind, I may offer one polite bark just to make sure nobody forgot.

• And whenever I go outside, I like to make one quick announcement to the neighborhood that Pearl has officially arrived.

Right now I'm healing from a wound on my front paw. Once that's healed and my hormones have settled, I'll be spayed when it's medically safe.

I don't know why I was left behind. I don't know how many birthdays I have left. But I do know this...

I'd love to spend every one of them with a family to call my own.

I don't need fancy things. Just a soft bed. A warm blanket. A handful of treats. Some belly rubs.

And someone who will love me for the rest of my life.
