Hi! I'm Moo. My friends also call me Moo-Moo and Moo-man... I'll allow it....
I've recently discovered something life-changing... Apparently, houses have couches. Blankets are for snuggling instead of surviving. People give you pig ears just because they love you. Toys aren't something you have to compete for. And walks? If you bring your own leash to the door, apparently those happen too.
Honestly... I have no intention of going back to my old standards. These days I consider myself something of a prince.
I expect cuddles. Lots of them. I expect blankets piled around me while I nap. I expect pig ears and bully sticks to arrive on a regular basis. And if you seem like you've forgotten it's time for a walk, don't worry. I'll happily grab my leash and carry it to the door to remind you. I'm helpful like that.
Right now I'm back at the shelter after short stint in foster, and while everyone here takes wonderful care of me, I've decided my private room just isn't where the action is. Instead, I spend most of my day stretched out in the hallway where I can supervise the volunteers and make sure everyone is following my very important instructions. Someone has to keep this place running!
When I'm not supervising, I'm happiest curled up next to my people soaking up every cuddle I can get.
I'm a goofy, happy guy who loves toys, treats, blankets, and being with my humans. I'm also dog friendly! Cats are still a mystery to me.
I've also become a bit... particular... about my dining preferences. We're exploring a possible chicken allergy, so I'm currently enjoying my own special chicken-free food, chicken-free treats, and even custom satin balls made with fancy duck and quail eggs.
See? Prince.
I'm still learning all the house rules, though. I had a couple accidents while I was in foster, but after where I came from, nobody expected me to know how to live inside a home overnight. Every day I get a little better, and I'm trying really hard.
Because here's the thing...
Mission RISE gave me something I never had before. It showed me what it feels like to be safe. To have people who care about me. To be loved.
Now all I want is a quiet home where I can cuddle beside my people, proudly carry my leash to the door, supervise household operations, and continue living the royal lifestyle I've worked so hard to achieve.
If you're looking for a goofy best friend with a huge heart, excellent snuggling skills, and just a tiny bit of royal attitude, I think we should meet.
Because once you've experienced life as a prince... there's really no going back.
Moo is part of Mission RISE and is currently available for foster or foster-to-adopt while legal proceedings continue. If the court ultimately allows these dogs to be adopted, his foster family will have the opportunity to finalize his adoption. Daisy's Dane Sanctuary provides his special diet and satin balls while he waits for his happily ever after. ***DDS is not able to remove the "Apply to Adopt" button at the bottom of this page.
